On this date in 1931, famed Christian thinker C.S. Lewis, was converted in fairly unusual circumstances.
86 years ago today C.S. Lewis sat in his brother's sidecar on a trip to the zoo. It was then that something happened.
Later, Lewis would write, "When we set out, I did not believe that Jesus is the Son of God; and when we reached the zoo I did."
Lewis's sidecar conversion had followed a lengthy talk he had the prior week with two of his Christian friends. Their names were Hugo Dyson and J.R.R. Tolkien.
